McClure takes Tyre at Tullyroan
My Saturday turned out to be one of those days, I’d 101 things I needed to do and absolutely none I really felt like doing, as a rule when it comes to doing racing stuff I normally rush everything at the last minute, so at the time of writing this I’ve one page done for the Speedweekend programme and should have been cracking on with that, but spent most of the day trying different editing techniques in photoshop before having a blind panic to get some NIOvalTV stuff done for going to the racing. Mid afternoon the call came through that the DMC laptop had died and so a further panic to ready mine for the racing was brought into action…. hence I had to sort out some music which turned out a bit more to my taste than the normally diddly dee stuff and songs about biscuits aren’t my cup of tea at all! I arrived at Tullyroan early (again) to see Neil Martin, Kyle Beattie, Nathan Beattie and John Christie finish off their 28 lap run for the NI Children’s hospice and to take a few photos, it’s was a great effort from the guys I hope they’ve raised a few quid from it. Also out in practice was John’s pink Tigra which I’m glad I got to see first hand myself since I’m not going to Ipswich this year. Racing wise Jazz Moore was back again in the ProStocks and amongst the thick of it as ever, Davy Wright took the opening heat and the final. Matthew Nicholl also took a heat and final double in the Ninja Karts which featured a few close races. Kenny Robinson won all three in the Lightning Rods. Jay Jay McConaghie took a heat and final double in the Robins, which included a big roll for Rachel McMillan. In the Superstox there was an opening heat win for Denver Grattan, Gregg Hyndman just about held off a big last bend lunge from Gavin Fegan to take heat two and Ryan McClure took his first win in the class in the final, and won it comfortably too, collecting a tyre from NIOvalTV for the effort.
