Six of the Best at Tullyroan
A few years back at Nuttscorner Oval, following the demise of the Production / 2.0 Stock Cars and before the arrival of the ProStocks, it was quite normal to have a long run of meetings with all non contact classes. It shows how much times have changed when the promotion is now able to field four contact classes in the one meeting and you rely on the other two to bring a few incidents too.
I’m not going to dwell on too much or go into too much depth on the meeting, it’s been a very busy week for me doing racing stuff and I’m sure this one will be no different. Starting with the basics, it was great to see Graham Fegan Snr out in a Superstox, I’m assuming only on loan from Neil Davison, but great to see him out all the same. Kyle Beatty took the honours in the Superstox final.
Graham Fegan Jnr took the honours in the Juniors final, and keeping with the Fegan family theme, young Shea in the Ninja Kart possibly pulled off the move of the day by getting up the inside of both Adam McFall and Aaron Ward as the three battled for the lead of heat two. Ward ended up spun, bringing a stoppage and on the restart McFall took that heat win, while Aaron Ward took the opening heat and the final.
The National Bangers were in town, sharing the bill with the Rookies. In the Nationals it was Steven Bolton who won the King of Krash and the all comes before Rodney Herron won the DD. Meanwhile in the Rookie’s Paul O’Connor took a heat and final double.
Finally a note on the 1300s, numbers are growing, the bumpers are flying and the class is starting to keep my attention a bit more than when it arrived. The three races brought three different winners with Ryan Patton winning heat one, Curtis Greer took heat two and Tam Agnew won the final. If the numbers continue to rise in the same manor the Superstox have built up they should be quite a tasty addition to any race card in the near future.

Next Up Speedweekend!Let's 'av it!
