Aaron A’Ward’ed the Win
The second day of the Ninja kart weekend seen the action move on to Tullyroan Oval and again unfortunately seen the race result declared in the scrutineering shed and not on the track.

The heats at Tullyroan seen the class run from grades but it was Sam McNeice again who took the opening heat, his fourth victory of the weekend. It wasn’t long into heat two though when McNeice ended up in the wall on turn one, taking a wheel off which took him out of heat two and would later prove significant for the final result. Jay Clyde, a young man growing in confidence week on week took the victory in heat two, I think his second or third of the season. In the final Sam McNeice was first across the line with Aaron Ward runner up and Adam McFall third. McNeice’s heat two altercation with the turn one wall had seen the team have to make some speedy repairs in order to get the car back out for the final and as a result of something that was changed the car failed post race scrutineering which gave the win to Aaron Ward with McFall moving up into second and Niall Creegan taking third.

The ProStocks put on some great racing throughout the afternoon which seen and opening heat win for Robbie Wright, Stephen McCready took heat two and Niall Dinsmore.

In the 2 Litres Glenn Bell made an appearance in Joel Richardsons car and got quicker and quicker as the day went on and if the final had been a lap longer he’d surely have won it, as it was he finished on the outside of Gary Thompson as the cars crossed the line and Thompson took his first win in the class. Earlier wins had gone to Adam Heatrick and Jason Devlin.

The Juniors were joined by a few visiting drivers from one of the tracks in RoI and they added a bit of variety to the machinery on display from the regular Junior Productions. Cameron Dynes took a heat and final double with Drew McKeown the other victor.

The bangers picked up where they left off on Saturday night, few hits to talk off, lots of rodding but even less of our own cars to get stuck in. A short DD ended with a decent wrecking train, but it was largely it was a banger meeting that won’t live long in the memory.
racing he’s sponsored one or two “Entertainer” of the day awards out of his own pocket. Allegedly we’re coming out of recession and I know it’s still tough enough to get business who can write off the expenses and get a bit of publicity out of sponsoring racing to actually sponsor racing, so for Hippy to be putting something in as an individual I think is very commendable and I take my hat off to him for doing it.
