It's hard to believe that we are already into October and only a few meetings from the end of the season, the season seems to have almost past in the blink of an eye, perhaps I'm just getting old and that is what happens. Nuttscorner Oval hosted the Lightning Rod Irish Championship, National Hot Rods World Series Round 7 as well as welcoming home the new ProStock Champions, Junior Productions and 2 Litre Hot Rods. For me, it was just one of those nights. The wet provides some good racing and different winners and it is a much better experience to sit in the stand at Ballymena than to be drowned in the open at Nuttscorner. From tha stands aren't a great place to take photos from. [see the full article]

What a lovely afternoon to go to the racing! Not for the first time this season, one of the big banger events was blighted by some pretty miserable conditions. With fairly heavy rain in the opening heats, I opted to keep my camera dry and wait for the bangers before heading for the infield. By chance it stopped raining just as the bangers were coming out for their Nuttshaker event. [see the full article]

National Hot Rods and F2's on paper always look to me as the pick of the meetings at Ballymena, when the 2 classes that probably have the biggest following in the country come together, and it is something unique to Ballymena that they are the only promotion that can run both in the same meeting.
